I hope you guys like music because that’s pretty much the only new thing we have to entertain ourselves this week!
I think we’ve plateaued - not only in coronavirus cases but also in new, interesting pieces of entertainment being released on a weekly basis. It’s to the point where everything that was already announced and held it’s date has passed, while everything else has been delayed. So don’t expect these posts to be too beefy in the next few weeks..or months..or years - shit, I don’t know. Nobody knows.
The Morning Brew will be back this Sunday after our week off for Easter - there’s lots to talk about especially in the PS5 realm of things so tune in!
Final Fantasy VII continues to be one of the best games I’ve ever played. And so does Animal Crossing: New Horizons. So regardless of what happens the rest of the year at least we’ve got those, y’know? I’m not even a fan of the fantasy genre but this game just does it for me - something about the cyberpunk element, the sci-fi aspects, etc - it just dopest for me and I’m so happy that it does.
What We Do In The Shadows returned earlier this week and I highly recommend that show. It’s so ridiculous and hilarious and if you’re a fan of the single-camera comedy genre like The Office and Parks & Rec but also weird, dark, spooky vampire shit, watch this show. Season two is off to a great start.
Anyways, like I mentioned earlier - it’s a week for music. This new Fiona Apple album is absolutely not my shit - I gave it a shot and I simply don’t get down with this style of music. I can’t connect with it, the melodies don’t catch my ear and yet, Pitchfork just gave it a perfect 10 - which I don’t think they’ve done since Kanye West released My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Just goes to show that everyone has their own taste, I suppose. I’m gonna listen to a bit more of it to see if it hits but I’m not so sure it will.

As for my personal recommendations from these lists, honestly it’s a bunch of singles. Prioritize those for sure. New Bon Iver, Naeem, Jamie xx, Car Seat Headrest, Hayley Williams and Kid Cudi tracks - all great.
Aside from that, Apple TV is giving me access to a bunch of HBO stuff so I’m gonna go watch Silicon Valley. Have a good weekend, everyone!
