September Nintendo Direct Announcements

SNES games have finally come to Nintendo Switch Online!

Today, Nintendo hosted their September Nintendo Direct and announced a bunch of new titles that are coming to the Nintendo Switch as well as other updates and surprises. All except one, I predicted in a video posted to our YouTube channel yesterday because for some reason, WE’RE JUST NEVER GETTING THE METROID PRIME TRILOGY ON SWITCH.


But! At least we got a bunch of awesome stuff that I did not see coming like…curry and rice in Pokemon Sword & Shield?


Here’s the full rundown!


• Overwatch is coming to the Nintendo Switch on October 15th of this year.

• Scream Park, an 8-player party mode was announced for Luigi’s Mansion 3.

• Super Kirby Klash, a free-to-start Kirby game is coming to the Nintendo Switch later today.

• An HD Remake of Trials of Mana is coming to the Nintendo Switch on April 24th of next year.

• Return of Obra Dinn is coming to the Nintendo Switch this Fall.

• Little Town Hero, the long-awaited new game from Game Freak, formerly known as Town, is coming to the Nintendo Switch on October 16th.

• Banjo & Kazooie will be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate later today.

• Terry from Fatal Fury is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in November of this year.

• More DLC Characters will be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to be sold outside of the Fighter Pass.

• A trailer for Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening was shown.

• A free demo for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age is available later today.

• Tokyo Mirage Sessions is being ported to the Nintendo Switch and will be available on January 17th of next year.

• Deadly Premonition 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2020.

• Deadly Premonition: Origins will be available on the Nintendo Switch later today.

• Divinity 2: Original Sin will be available on the Nintendo Switch later today.

• Doom 64 is coming to the Nintendo Switch for it’s 25th anniversary on November 22nd of this year.

• Rogue Company is coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2020.

• Four new features for Pokemon Sword & Shield were announced including new customization options like tops, bottoms and accessories, Pokemon Camp, where you can hang out and play with your Pokemon, which also gives you the ability to create different variations of curry on rice. Then two new Pokemon were announced - Polteageist & Cramorant.

• SNES games were announced for Nintendo Switch Online and the first 20 games will be available tomorrow.

• Tetris 99 is getting a free update which will include Tetris 99 Invictus and daily missions and it will be available tomorrow on the Nintendo Switch.

• A new trailer for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Summer Games was shown.

• A New trailer for Daemon X Machina will be available on the Nintendo Switch later today and your progress will carry over to the main game.

• Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 24th.

• A new trailer for The Witcher III was shown.

• Assassins Creed: The Rebel Collection

• Dauntless is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

• Just Dance 2020 will be released on the Nintendo Switch on November 5th of this year.

• GRID Autosport will be released on the Nintendo Switch on September 19th of this year.

• Farming Simulator will be released on the Nintendo Switch on December 3rd of this year.

• Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be released on the Nintendo Switch on September 20th of this year.

• NBA 2k20 will be released on the Nintendo Switch on September 6th of this year.

• Call of Cthulhu will be released on the Nintendo Switch on October 8th of this year.

• The Outer Worlds is coming soon on the Nintendo Switch.

• Devil May Cry 2 will be released on the Nintendo Switch on September 19th of this year.

• Vampyr will be released on the Nintendo Switch on October 29th of this year.

• A new trailer for Animal Crossing: New Horizons was shown including the new items, crafting, the ability to move around furniture, buying and selling, 8 player co-op on the same screen and more.

• Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition was announced and • will be released in 2020.
