Things are lookin' real SPORTY this week.

Man, this new Chance album bops and bangs all over the place. I don't even understand the negative responses I've read on it - it's a statement on where he's at right now. His daughter, his baby momma that refused to coexist but that he eventually convinced to marry him, his wedding day, his family. Chance is out here yappin' about his happiness and everything that led him to this point in his life and I am absolutely here for it. Is the album a little bloated? Sure. Could he have scratched off 4-5 songs to make the entire thing just a tad more concise? Also sure. But this albums a showcase of the feeling attached to falling in love and spending your life with someone and as a man that got married just shy of one year ago, I can back that sentiment.

But now I have to get back to listening to that Oso Oso album. Expect my full written impressions by the end of next week on that - I'm still trying to decide if I want to continue calling them impressions or if I want to introduce an actual review system with a grade and all that. We'll see. Still thinking about it.

Also, I saw Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and it's tons of fun. What a great film. I can't wait to watch it again once it's out on Blu-Ray. Actually, it's the first movie I've wanted to own physically in quite some time so that's gotta mean something.

As for this week - Long Shot is out on Blu-Ray as well and while I'm not sure this is one I'm going to purchase right away, I do want to own it eventually (sup, Black Friday deals?) - it's just a really funny, heartwarming movie and if your a fan of Seth Rogen and want a nice blend of adult humor and slapstick, check it out.

Thursday is the big day though (Chance the Rapper puns!) because it's the unofficial start to the NFL season with the NFL Hall of Fame game as well as an event that I've looked forward to since I was a child, the Summer X Games. Football is my favorite sport to watch and that's mostly because it goes on during my favorite time of year - Fall into Winter. And also because they play way less games so it's just easier to keep up with. Looking forward to seeing what all these teams can do in the pre season. And on top of that, Madden 20 officially releases this week too which is just icing on the cake.

And as for the X-Games. Man, I've been watching that shit since literally I was like 9 or something. Extreme sports were always something I loved but was never good at. I had skateboards, BMX bikes, scooters, inline skates, you name it. However, I could not do any tricks on them to save my life probably because I was way too afraid of injuring myself. Like, way too afraid. Either way, I adore watching them from afar and I can't wait to see what kind of antics are pulled at this year's event. Thankfully, my wife loves it too so we can watch all of the contests together.

And lastly, Clairo's new album comes out on Friday. I really, really enjoy all three singles she's released thus far and Rostam and her make the perfect duo. I think they can pull off something really special and my fingers are crossed as far as I can possibly cross them that the rest of the tracks I haven't heard hold up to the three that I have.

That's it, guys - also I'm seeing Pete Davidson this weekend so make sure you listen to the Brew next week to get my impressions on that as well as everything else above. And listen to this weeks too! It's a good one!
