This Friday, Rocko is going to GLOW.
What a wild ride these last few days have been. If you want to know what I'm talking about, listen to this week's episode of the Morning Brew because I'm officially DONE talking about it. But anyways, the X-Games were great - the first 1260 in competition on a skateboard, the first ever adaptive skateboarding competition, some flippies and some spins - always a good time. Already excited for next year - actually next year we get a double-whammy with the X-Games and the Summer Olympics which now has skateboarding as well.
It was cool to see the NFL Hall of Fame game as well, I'm anticipating football like crazy, as I do every year, so it basically signifies the start of the season. Giants have their first pre-season game today too so we'll see how our number one draft pick does in action in the big boy league. I'm probably a Browns fan this year tbh. Odell's my boy and that teams gonna get some straight up wins this year.
Clairo's great, new Brockhampton single is great and Oso Oso continues to be great - I can't wait to get my review out there so I can tell you guys all about it. That should be up next Monday!
I'm also HELLA excited to play The Blackout Club tonight. Question Games was so very kind enough to send us three codes so I've shared them with Casey and Alex and tonight we are going to stream it live over on our Twitch channel around 5 PM EST. Join us!
This week we've got Detective Pikachu coming out on DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K on Tuesday as well as DC Universe Online and Darksiders II coming to the Nintendo Switch that same day. Also, if you're like me and never really hopped on the Guacamelee train, the perfect opportunity is coming for you, also on Tuesday with the One-Two Punch release for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch that includes Guacamelee 1 and 2 in one package.
90210 is coming back - who cares.
Netflix is what we really need to be looking at. This Friday, Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling releases on the service which is a full length Rocko's Modern Life movie that Nickelodeon sold off to premiere on Netflix and speaking of one-two punches, they will also have an Invader Zim movie for us next week as well.
And most importantly, Glow: Season 3 will be available this Friday. It's one of the best shows on television, in my opinion and I'm excited to see what happens when they take the show on the road. Hopefully it keeps up with the first two. Stranger Things got me feeling all spoiled and shit by having season 3 be their best yet and now I'm out here holding other shows up to the same standard and it's not even fair to them.
That's all for now - I'll see you guys on our Twitch Channel tonight for The Blackout Club!
