Square Enix E3 2019 Announcements

Okay so we're just making sure that 2020 is the biggest year in gaming ever then?

Square Enix held their 2019 E3 press conference where they showcased titles that they have coming during the rest of this year and beyond including Final Fantasy VII Remake and Marvel’s Avengers! Check out the list below for a look at everything that was shown.

  • The show opened with an in depth look at the Final Fantasy VII Remake that will be featured on two Blu-Ray Discs worth of content. The game will be more action based and include a tactical mode where you can perform specific attacks and spells. You will also have the ability to switch between characters at any moment during gameplay. The game will be available on March 3rd, 2020.

  • A trailer for Life Is Strange 2 was shown featuring live streamers reactions to gameplay.

  • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is available now to play on mobile devices.

  • A trailer for Octopath Traveler was shown - available now on PC.

  • The Last Remnant Remastered was announced and will be available tonight on the Nintendo Switch

  • A trailer for Dragon Quest Builders 2 was shown and the game will have a playable demo available on June 27th.

  • A trailer for Dragon Quest XI was shown - it will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this fall.

  • A new top-down racing game was shown called Circuit Superstars that will be released in 2020.

  • A trailer for Batallian 1944 Eastern Front was shown, which is available now on Steam.

  • A commercial was shown advertising that Square Enix Music is now available on streaming services.

  • New DLC for Kingdom Hearts III was announced called Kingdom Hearts III Re-Mind - it will be available this Fall.

  • Final Fantasy XIV Online: Shadowbringers features were talked about and a trailer was shown. The update launches on July 2nd.

  • A trailer for Dying Light 2 was shown which launches in Spring 2020.

  • Romancing Saga 3 and Saga Scarlet Grace: Ambitions were announced and they come out soon.

  • War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, a new mobile game was announced.

  • A cinematic trailer for a new game called Outriders was shown - it releases in Summer 2020.

  • A trailer for Oninaki was shown - the game launches on August 22nd.

  • Final Fantasy VIII Remastered was announced and it will be available later this year.

  • The first trailer for Marvel’s Avengers was shown featuring the main cast of the Avengers films, who will all be playable characters in both single player and co-op. The game takes place in the West coast when the Avengers have been forced to disband and it is up you you to re-assemble the team.

  • Marvel’s Avengers will be releasing content over the course of several years with new stories and new heroes being added for free. There will be no random loot boxes or pay to win scenarios. The game will launch on PS4, Xbox One, Stadia and PC. Early beta access and unique benefits will be available for PlayStation players. The game will launch on May 15th, 2020.
