Well would you look at the way that this worked out for everybody.
Alright so this ones gonna be brief because I’ve got a podcast to edit and post and I’m trying to gather my thoughts on Taylor Swift’s new album to do some sort of first impressions thing. I’ve got like two hours to pull it off so let’s goooo!
Baseball is back! Not only is it good to have this specific sport back on television but just sports in general. It’s a return to normalcy that I didn’t think we’d see in 2020 and a 60 game season is like a dream come true for me. Lots of excitement to be had — and shout out to America’s favorite pastime for testing the waters for a couple months before it’s time for football. Let us know what works and doesn’t work!
Speaking of sports — I did mention that I had a podcast to edit and I do! We recorded the third episode of Bench Points last night and we’ve got a few edits to make before that can go live so expect that momentarily barring any sort of setbacks. Next week we should have a new Modern Classics episode for you and the week after that should be Funny Business.
Logic is officially retired from music! And he’s a Twitch streamer! But he hasn’t gone live yet so I guess we’ll see what that turns into. Casey and I will dive into that during Modern Classics, I’m sure of it.
Some follow up from last week — Paper Mario is a god damn delight and I cannot stop playing it. I love me a bright world in a fun art style and this game gives me exactly that. I’ve only played about two hours of Ghost of Tsushima at this point because of it. Because when I do have time to sit down and play something, Paper Mario wins.
Other than that, my wife and I have just been doing some reorganizing/redecorating in the house lately. The problem with that though is that as you change a couple things, you get new idea and want to change other things as well. And not only is that expensive, but time consuming. Now we’re talking about painting just about every single room except the kitchen, which we’ve already painted twice since moving in a year ago. God help us.
Anyways — on to the new shiii.

As for what I’d recommend this week — it’s Taylor Swift. I woke up at 330 AM this morning and couldn’t fall back asleep so I gave it a full listen and it’s far and away her best effort. Like I said, i’m collecting my thoughts and I will do full written impressions later today but just know that it good. Real good.
Aside from that, we’re supposed to maybe be getting a Kanye West album today? He’s been promoting DONDA all week but went silent yesterday. Whether that means the release is off or if it’s the calm before the storm, I’m not sure. But I’m definitely intrigued.
Have a good weekend — play Paper Mario and listen to Folklore.
